A destination elopement is an intimate wedding where you travel to a beautiful location to exchange your vows. Instead of a large traditional wedding, elopements focus on the experience — allowing you to celebrate your relationship in an incredible setting with little to no guests.

Australia has some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, making it perfect for destination elopements. Couples often choose locations like the red desert around Uluru, the alpine wilderness of Cradle Mountain, the vibrant coastline of Bay of Fires, or the dramatic cliffs and beaches along the Great Ocean Road. We’re always happy to suggest locations based on the kind of landscape and experience you’re dreaming of.

There are two simple ways to do this. Many couples choose to complete the legal paperwork separately with a quick signing at a registry office, then have their elopement as a private ceremony and photo adventure with just the two of them. This option can also offer more flexibility so we can reschedule for weather.

Alternatively, we can help organise a celebrant so you can have a fully legal ceremony at your destination location, which requires a celebrant and two witnesses.

One of the exciting parts of eloping in wild locations is that conditions can change, but that often leads to the most dramatic photos. We always plan backup options and flexible timelines so we can adapt if needed. If the conditions are not suitable at all for photography, we will reschedule at no additional charge- so make sure to keep your schedule flexible for if this does happen. 

It’s best to book as early as possible, especially if you’re planning to elope during popular seasons or in remote locations that require permits or travel arrangements. That said, elopements are naturally flexible, and we can sometimes organise incredible experiences with shorter notice.

To secure your date, a 50% deposit is required, with the remaining balance due one week before your elopement. Payment plans are also available if you need a little flexibility.

You’ll receive a sneak peek of your wedding photos within a few days — perfect for sharing with friends and family. The full wedding photography gallery is delivered within 4 weeks, beautifully edited and ready to download. If you’ve booked wedding videography, your highlight film and full ceremony video (if included) will be delivered within 6 weeks.

Everything is shared via an online gallery and private video link, with the option to add a keepsake box if you’d like something physical.

Due to the widely varied and unique nature of our destination elopements, providing package options on our website is difficult. It can range anywhere from $1000-$15,000. On average, most options cost between $3000-$5000.
